  International Economics and Trade is a comprehensive discipline that consists of international trade, international finance and international investment theory and relevant practice, which requires students to master the basic theories of international economics and trade, and deeply understand the development trend of international economy, as well as operating rules of international markets. The teaching combines with the latest international trade rules and the practical operating competence, also contributes to training senior professional practical talents with solid basic knowledge, skillful operating abilities and strong adaptability.

  Among the 24 teachers for International Economics and Trade, there are 2 professors, 8 associate professors, 10 lecturers; 1 provincial academic Chair person and 2 backbone teachers; 6 postgraduate tutors. More than 80% of the teachers hold a master degree or above, and professors and associate professors account for about 42% of the total. "International Trade" was awarded “the Elaborate Courses” in NanchangUniversity.

Opportunities for Further Study

  The application of NanchangUniversity for postgraduate program in World Economy has been approved. At present, there are four specialties, i.e. International Economic Theory and Application, International Investment and Multinational corporations, International Trade, International Cultural Trade. Graduates of International Economics and Trade can apply for postgraduate study for a master degree in World Economy or in a related field at NanchangUniversity.

Language Requirements

  The languages of instruction are English and Chinese. Those applying to be taught in Chinese are required to have passed band six (HSK) or above or, as an alternative, to have learned Chinese for a year or more in Nanchang University and have passed all the examinations; those who apply to be taught in English can enjoy a lowered requirement of Chinese proficiency or a HSK exemption, but they should have a good command of English.
